Speedo acting wierd

Hey all,
I have a 87 camaro with the 85 mph speedo and it been acting wierd lately. I do a lot of interstate driving and when I'm cruising along at anything over 65 and hit a bump, the speedo needle will let go and drop down to like 80-85, depending on how fast I'm going. Then when I drive a long a little while longer it will go back to normal and read the speed I'm going.

Does anyone else's speedo do this Is there any way to fix this?

IF MECHANICAL
DO YOURSELF A VERY BIG FAVOR
Replace the cable assembly.
I paid $20ish for mine for my 1985
IF I HAD KNOWN I WOULD HAVE SAVED SO MANY AGGRIVATIONS from just replacing this damn cable...
IF mechanical do the cable swap.
If electrical, check all contacts. Especially down below.
I recently got an electric speedo unit.
It's really simple.
If electric check that connection down there. NOT saying fragile, but, vunerable.
If mechanical, replace the cable.
DOUBT it's speedo head.
UNLEASS ya played lately with dash.
