PCM is bad???

How can you tell for sure that the PCM is bad? I am at my wit's end with my car being emissions retarded, and I've heard that these camaros sometimes have computer troubles.

I have been through 2 computers in my 87 bird. But what the car didwas give me a code and I checked the "if this then check that" guide in the manual under that code #. When everything in the car checked out OK, the last thing was the computer! I replaced the computer and the code was gone and the car ran fine. HAve you done this?

I haven't done this, I was just curious as to "at what point can you decide its the computer" Wher e would you find flow charts for given situations?

Flow chart....I could so not think of that phrase...anyway...

You find the flow chart in either the factory service manual or in a haynes manual...it should be in the code checking section
