Where do you guys suppose I'd be able to find a crank pulley, balancer pulley, whatever you want to call it, the one that goes on the crankshaft. None of the local parts stores carry it, would the local junkyard be my only hope?

I am sick of the low voltage situations from the underdrive pulley.

And if you do an AC delete, do you take the compressor itself off or just disconnect everything and take out all the old stuff?
Also, do you have any problems with defroster or anything after doing that

just take the A/C compressor off and get a belt for a non-A/C car. everything else is the same. do you also have the alt underdrive pulley? if so,that may be your problem. i have a system and a crank underdrive pulley and never had a problem. check your charging system too, may be a problem there.

nah, just the crank. I've got a sub and amp as well, nothing major. The guage shows that it will get about down to 8v at idle. This causes all my lights to dim, and I'm afraid it may have a part in the death of my starter as well as a possible pcm or ignition problem that I am having as well, so before I do anything, I just want to get back to stock. Mostly I am trying to get this car to be very reliable and pass emissions.

Mine was not going down that far with the under drive pully, but I was having the voltage drop. I have a system as well and AC. I kept my stock alt pulley originally and when I had low volts I got a smaller pulley for the alt. This fixed the problem for me. But if your alt is going that low it might be on the downhill slope. I would ahve it checked out. Might be about to die. Mine always start to drop that low as they are begining to fail. I got a lifetime Atl form Autozone and was swapping it out every 6mo or so...finally got a junkyard one and cleaned it up...had the case chromed and had a pro at a alt shop rebuilt it the right way. Been great ever since! At the Parade I was in with my car club last weekend I was idling with lights on, neons, strobes, music thumping, and the heater on...volts at 14 the whole time!

Yeah, I had it checked out, its putting out 14.4v at idle, and the battery is fine too, so maybe my guage is just really sensitive.

Pretty easy check...go get a spare voltage gauge from a parts store... temp rig it up with spare wires. Just twist the wires together. May give you a better idea what is goping on in the low volt situation. help eliminate the gauge or pinpoint it as the prob. Then you can return the gauge if nothing it wrong with yours. I have an aftermarket auto meter gauge, so I can't comment on how accurate the factory ones really are!
