2.8 oil leak

I was wondering if anyone knew if there are common leak areas on these engines. I thought it was the rear main seal, but when I changed the oil I noticed the oil was coming from somewhere above that, thus leaving that out of the question. Also taking ideas on an engine swap of some kind if anyone wants to offer some helpful information.

My swap guide for putting a 3.4 under the hood should still be around.
I recently discovered the rear cam seal was a big leaker in my 3.4.
When I changed the engines I installed a new rear main seal.
Add to the list the distributor seal, that's one big leak area, also.

I go through oil pressure sending units like they are going out of style. I don't know if its maybe because of the full synthetic oil I run seeps through the seems or what. (Drivers side of motor just about the filter. Drips onto y-pipe exhaust)

Sounds like another case of distributer o-ring gone bad. That is very common on these cars. Take a good look around the base of the distributer and see if there is oil puddling up there. If not there, it probably is your camshaft plate gasket.

I found it

Turns out the problem was that the person who owned it before I did decided not to put the bracket that holds the distributor back on and siliconed it instead....after several hours of jury rigging some other clamp, it now works again.
