Gapping Spark Plugs for V6

Says on the car that the gap for our third gen v6's is .45. My gapper only has .44.... is that going to make a difference at all?

Thx

I don't think so. The spark plug gapping tool I used for awhile was a circular tool with u-shaped wires sticking off of it. It to had a 0.44 and not 0.45. I used it to gap the plugs for a tune up on both of my 2.8L Camaros without problems.

Yep, I agree... that .001" will wear down pretty quick and you'll wind up with an 0.045" gap anyway!

tomp is right.
Give it a few 100 miles and the gap will open past that.
.044'' is fine
