I believe the 3.4's came with the Multec "shower-head" style injectors. Pintle injectors are supposed to last longer; I doubt it really makes much of a difference. I ran pintles for a long time, now I'm running 3.1 multecs (from a junkyard Gen II FWD motor) and they're still working great.
Multec's have a wide silver hole at the end. Pintle injectors have a plastic cap over the end with a tiny hole. Both use the same o-rings, a kit with 16 o-rings is made by Standard, part # SK-9. Always replace the o-rings if you ever have to take your injectors out, otherwise you'll get vacuum leaks!!
