i agree with techsmurf. the larger volume plenum won't require, or for that matter, benefit, from a TB spacer.

Yep, they said it. Larger plenum = no need for TB spacer. Besides, then you have the aggrevation of throttle cable not long enough

Throttle body spacers are usually used on a throttle body injected engine where the throttle body is vertical to gain plenum volume, sort of a method of installing a better flowing manifold without the expense and time. Carburetted engines can sometimes benefit from a spacer under the carb for the same reason.
Now, there may or may not be some gain spacing the throttle body out on a stock MPI intake, but nobody has invested any time in finding that out. Doward and Aim91 are fixing the problem from the other end by designing a better intake manifold entirely.
Besides, as Doward mentioned, you space the throttle body forward enough to make a difference, then the cables don't reach, then spend a bunch of time measuring cables, running to the parts store, installing, returning, blah blah blah until you find a throttle and TV cable to fit. OK, but now your air intake won't line up, so you cut that down and modify that- and then find out the wires to the throttle position sensor and idle air control solenoid don't reach........do you see what I'm getting at here?

Plus I don't think it would help much to keep the throttle body cool... it might drop it a degree or two; not enough to go thru all that trouble.
