New Exhaust and I like it
Well I put on my new DynoMax cat back, and am very pleased with results. It was a $#@%^$ to put on though, considering the old one was completely rusted on. Had to use a torch on the bolts for the cat. Only problem is the new exhaust clamp bolt broke off on the right exhaust pipe, so I'm running a single exhaust, and the empty muffler hole on the right side. So now, the car is running real deep, all the guys at the local meet are asking if its a 350. I guess I could tell them it is, although if they wanna race me we have a problem. Or I could just lie and say I'm running on 4 plugs to give them a chance.
All in all, once I put on the second pipe it should sound real nice. Good buy from summit, $158. I'm happy

When I had my V6 RS, I installed the Dynomax Super Turbo system. Definately worth the $160 I paid for it, and I also noticed a little power gain from it. Sadly, it doesn't sound like a V8 after 2,000 rpms.

Just tell them it's only runnign on 6 plugs
WHo really cares if it doesn't sound like a v8? If i want one so bad, I would've swapped one of those in. Besides, if you need the sound sooooo bad, just pop in a cd of all the great muskel car sounds & crank up it up!!!

Congrats on the install! I've got the same catback and love it... doesn't sound tinny at all. Plus once you get some carbon buildup in the pipes (which is normal), it'll get even deeper. Right now you're hearing a little bit of vibration/echo from the pipes themselves... the carbon buildup will "mute" the vibrations a bit.

I installed a Dynomax super turbo muffler in my wife's Corsica 2.8 V6. Now, the complete car vibrates with this "super sound", my face vibrates, my house vibrates, all the car alarm sounds in my block when I drive around it and the car has new HPs. Good!.

I'm glad you like your dynomax system. I liked it too, the only remaining part I have from my dynomax cat back is the 3" intermediary pipe. Dynomax system made the cruising below 2,000 rpm sound not so good to me. My Dynomax muffler had really rusted badly on me so I switched it to a long lasting less menacing sounding hooker muffler.
