Cleaning IAC and EGR
Where the hell are these things on a 3.1? Could someone post pictures please.Is it necassary to clean them?

Axle/Gears: 3.42 open
For the EGR just follow the ribbed pipe that is on the passenger side of the upper plenum behind the throttle body.
The IAC is on the throttle body, flat 4 wire connector, on the passenger side.

Yeah those 3.1 things ain't cheap.
What to do is clean the base, new gasket AND go to wrecking yard and score the exact same thing off a 3.1 FWD vehicle as a spare.
IAC, use carb cleaner, sprayed on a rag to keep cleaning that item. Push the rag thru the passage to remove that residue. Remove air intake boot to clean inside of the trottle body, too.
Keep spraying rag amd work it that way.

I just cleaned my IAC this past week-end. I changed the throttle position sensor and the air valve sensor (the one that goes atop of the throttle position sensor). Then I cleaned all the black crap inside the throttle body.

Is the TPS that black cable thingy that sits on top of the TB? It usally looks like it not fully plugged in or something...But it is..lol
Where are the IAC and EGR next too? I dont even know where to start looking for them....
