rough idle

Ok heres the thing, my car was running fine for a while without any problems at all. One day I turn it on,I notice it's running kind of rough and my exhaust sound is much quieter. Now I have no clue what it is but I've figured it has to do with fuel system because I hear a high pitched noise from the pump while it's running. Could it be fuel pump going out???

my fuel pump gave no warning
a high pitched humming noise form the fuel pump is normal

get a 1 1/4 wrench and clean the iac
change the plugs

cheapest things first

Yeah! especially when put into gear, engine lost alot of power too and lost it's original muffler tone.

One way to solve the problem is to have a very cute passenger whispering sweet things into your ear to distract you from hearing the noise.
The power loss will be not noticed also!
Your fuel pump can ONLY be checked by using a pressure guage.
BUT
also pop off the distributor cap and have a look see what is that condition under there.
But the Babe passenger is the best solution!
I recall fondly those Canadian Women!
