Some weird issues
Last weekend i took out my rear springs to grease the coil spring insulators and to check the shocks because i had been having an annoying squeek coming from the rear drivers side. I found out the shocks and went ahead got ahold of summit to get me a new set of shocks since they were under warranty. I went ahead and put everything back to together just like i had taken it apart. The only two things that i had to take out were the lower shock bolts and the bolt on the (i think it is called) panhard bar so the rear end would lower enough. The problem that i am now experiencing is that the safety belt light comes on all the time now periodically (mostly when i hit a large bump) even when i have the seat belt on and when i have the seat belt off, the wonderful chime is played everytime the light comes on. Has anyone experienced this? If so, please please help because it is driving me nuts. Also, if anyone knows how to disable the light and chime all together that would be wonderful? Thanks in advance, Josh.
That is SO EASY!
From one who dealt with seat belt interlock laws on cars from 1974!
REAL SIMPLE
FOLLOW THE NOISE!
PULL IT OUT
DESTROY IT!
LIGHT IN DASH
REMOVE GAUGE CLUSTER
FIGURE OUT WHICH BULB IT IS
REMOVE BULB
DESTROY BULB
Serious, it's that simple!

The noise part is so easy. You will know when ya scored that buzzer due to ya feel the relay clicking on & off when ya touch the right housing of plastic.
Only remove the plug, do NOT discard that buzzer.
You'll NEVER know the one day you do want that noise to be reactivated.
I can't tell ya how "difficult" it was to find certain selt belt interlock parts for my 1974 Corvette. I had to travel to PA to find some stuff (from CA), because I wanted "originality".
Your dash part is the most diffcult to do. So at same time, replace all those light bulbs, to make the trip worth the effort. Clean clear plastic with plastic polish. Use very soft paint brush to clean gauge faces. NO FINGERS on the gauges, due to your fingertip skin oils will stain. DON'T play with the needles. Ya may upset the accuracy.
