Quick Intake question

What is the name of the part that connects to the cylinder heads and directs the air into the cylinders? I need to replace mine. I went to the junkyard asking for a manifold and the guy came back wiht a lower plenum and said it was the manifold.

according to the haynes manual, you are looking for the 3rd part of the intake "manifold" the actual manifold itself. according to the book, the 3 parts are upper plenum, lower plenum, and the manifold. the manifold connects the upper plenum and the heads and the block together just like the intake manifold on a v8 does with the heads, the block, and the carbuerator. just tell the junk yard that you want the intake manifold for your car. they normally don't know the difference!!!!!
