Will removing this cause any problems?

Im looking to really clean up engine bay and remove some things. Just curious if removing the pipe from the egr to the intake will cause any computer codes or running problems?

It won't. Just cut the corrugated tube off of the plate that bolts to the intake, and cut and drill a piece of sheetmetal in the shape of it and sandwich it in between the flange and the intake.

now, how will that not effect performance? Wouldn't it cause your engine to run leaner?
