Techsmurf and myself are the only 2 that have completed, running turbos

 

i say "turbo boost KARR" and hit the "off" button on my defroster when i go WOT.

 

I dunno', a bunch of white '89 V6 Firebirds seem to be turbo'd. . .

I've got a 2.8 V6 SC. Is it possible to mod it to make it the same as the Turbo Trans Ams? Or is that a completely different engine setup?

 

the turbo trans am has a 3.8 which is a completely different engine. you could mod your 2.8 to be a turbo 2.8 though. research or contact Doward.

 

Or in a case like mine, turbo 3.4, eventually, need to find a good 3.4 first

doward is the only one that we know of that makes turbo kits, and he has also had alot of success with his own personal kit. if you want power from a turbo, talk to him. he is the best on the board when it comes to power from a turbo.

have a set of t3/t4 turbos but debating to put them on my 3.1 or wait till i get the cash for a LS6 and outfit the rest of the poor car to handle it lol.

 

a set of t3/t4s on your 3.1?? a 3.1 would only need one of those hybrid turbos unless they are a small trim version.

 

Yeah if i turbo the little 3.1 going with a 3 core intercooler but im not trying to run 19PSi or anything lol. I figure only get a few lbs of boost but the turbos are just sitting around right now. Turbos are 50 trim and think it was .54 A/R. Also going to run a boost controler but dont figure with the turbos going to have to run alot of pressure. Around 4 psi probley be cool for me. Wanted a set of T2's but these were close to free so counldnt complain lol.

 

Yeah... I got one of those white Firebirds too... Stupid Mustangs (and lots of other things besides) get all spun up about the door stickers, too...
