I have an 86 Chevy camaro project...I know it has a blown head gasket but would that make it not start? It tries to turn over and seems to catch but It cant fire up! Any ideas on what to do first? And if worse comes to worse anybody have A V6 for a camaro for sale?...I need a gas saver! The "angel" is a gasoholic lol

The head gasket would make it not start jsut replace it probly 100 in parts and you should be good to go.
I LOVE IT

I GUESS WE KNOW EVERYTHING!!!!
I'll spare ya more grief
Couple choices so easy to correct!
One is
COIL
COIL
COIL
NEXT IS ICM
IF ya don't get ANY SPARK
ICM is your problem
IF YA GET A SPARK
It's coil that is too weak to fire engine.
How ya test
paperclip
Pull plug wire
Insert paperclip & place the plug wire next to a good engine ground source.
Crank engine & look at spark jumping from plug wire as it grounds itself.
BRIGHT WHITE SPARK is good coil
ANY COLOR SPARK IS good ICM
ya need good white spark to fire the engine.
I'll give ya clue.
It ain't coil
In all my years & miles of my ownership of 1985 Blazer (try since 1989 & over 100,000 miles), I never had bad coil output.
BUT I will bet ya got a bad ICM (which means NO SPARK from paperclip grounding test)
ONLY WAY you will get a no start due to bad headgasket is
pull your oil dipstick.
IF ya got chocolate milk on dipstick, then car will not fire no matter what color is your spark!
I say ICM
