Leaking oil REALLY bad.

Well, at first there was a little oil stain under the car. Two weeks has passed and now there is a LARGE oil stain under the car. I'll be swapping to the 3.4, but not until the end of july. Any suggestions on what this could be. I was thinking it might be the oil pan gasket, or the washer behind the oil pan drainage nut. I checked the spark plugs for oil, and nothing. Is this job worth doing if I'm just gonna swap at the end of july? The mess alone is almost worth the job. As always, thanks for the help guys.

most likley is the distributor o-ring leaking. Check around the base of the distributor and see if there is a lot of fresh oil there. You need to pull the dissy to replace the o-ring. doesn't take long and the o-ring is cheap.

Suggestion!!!
REBUILD IT AND NOW IS THE TIME!!!!
AND when it's, you can clean back there & then reinsert it for the longevity of the next time (the swap).
Pull up from past thread mine on Ditributor rebuilding.
What's it take?
Roll pin punch
Sand paper,
carb cleaner,
new pick up coil and
just plain ol eye sight tolerences.
Give the old thread search a try & then do that job.
Cause then that's one less thing to rebuild during your swap.
How long?
About 2-4 hours or a afternoons job. Hardest part is the putting back in, that bolt, set up/hold down.
Bring engine to top dead center, then pull out. PS the HOUSING ONLY GOES IN ONE WAY, it's the ROTOR that needs attention paid to it (it points at 7 o'clock! #1 area plug).
WHEN ya go to insert this distb into the 3.4 at that time go get a Chevy Small Block Distributor gasket ($1) & use that together with the new oring on the distb shart.
