3 inch exhaust tips..

well my exhaust on my car is kinda short (before the bumper short! its not stock i guess) and it has a turn down. im gonna cut it at the turn down and i have some chrome tips that are about 18 inches long and go from 2 1\4 to 3. u think thatll be ok with a 6? i dont want it 2 look retarded or anything. it sticks out about an inch from the bumper so thats what i wanted...but...will the fact that it goes to 3 inches matter at all? i would have gotten just 2 1\4 if htey had it but they didnt.....

I had 2 1/2 in tail pipes made up when i had my muffler installed and had them cut them short and then put on bolt on tips that go from 2 1/2 to 4 in. and resonate. sounds a crap load better. be careful sticking them out even an inch cuz if someone wants to be an *** they can walk too close to ur car and burn themselves and sue ur ***.

u were asking me right? lol
Yeah i have a 3" inch flowmaster catback from a high flow cat. Tips look great. I think they would look good on your car as well, but if you choose to do it, dont let them extend past your rear bumper too much.
Thanks for the compliment

2 1/2 looks too small for me, 3" is really not that big looking. I think 4" looks too large though.

looks great!
Only thing i did was angle them straight, not down, but you have to cut the stock pipes for that.

i'd do it if i could but..id have 2 cut off even more of it and besides..it wouldnt hang down low enough..its 2 high thats why theyre turn down oh well..thanx for the compliments...im wierd about modding i dont do much of it..the only thing i dont like is one hangs down a little bit lower and it looks like its sticking out too far from a certain angle...but it looks like thats how its made..ill try 2 get a pic up later 2day

My set up is angled down, and just slightly "wrong" and "slightly" unlevel. And as said, can "only tell" if looking at pipes certain angle.
ONLY TIME they bother me is if I'm loaded up & I get into a angled driveway & they scrap.
Oh Well.
