air intake
88 2.8 mpfi...... i have the duel snorkel intake now with two k&n filters. at the bottom of the air box i cut it off flush, and made a duel ram-air intake.my question is,is there a difference between that or just doing away with the duel snorkel set-up , and go to a single cold air intake?

I have had both and think both ways are equal but i do think the dual snorkel intake would work better since air is being pushed into it.

The dual snorkel is a cold air intake, and is what most people try to get if they don't have it. As a matter of fact, the Firebird guys are always complaining because they can't use it, no clearance with their hood. The real restriction for our engines is the size of the passages in the plenum on the other side of the throttle body. The dual snorkel can flow more air than the stock plenum can. You've already done as much as you can for the intake side, without getting a bigger plenum and throttle body.
