Hydrolic Problems
Before, my screwed up Clutch pedal felt like when you sit in the car and pump the brakes, like a hard brake pedal. But yesterday we went to go play with it and see what the problem is, and when we pushed hte clutch pedal it made a pop sound and then went all the way to the floor. There is now no resistance in the pedal but under the hood is a fluid moving sound. I dont see any fluid leaking or anything but it deffinatly sounds like busted lines or something.
I have looked at autozone and the Master Cylinder for clutch is $35 bucks, and the Slave is $35 too. I dont think theres anything wrong with my master, can I just get a slave and some new lines and hook it up to that? I gotta get this thing runnin again and spend the least amount possible

Sounds like you had a binding clutch fork, and when you pressed on the pedal, the slave cylinders actuating rod popped off the fork. I would take the trans service cover off (right where the bellhousing meets the engine on the bottom) and look in there. I'll bet you find your problem.

It didnt pop off the fork, I looked at it. How can a binding fork be fixed? Do I gotta pull the stupid tranny back out? :'(
when I look in that cover all I see is flywheel, its tight up against it. What I'm thinkin is I can pull the fork boot off and see

ya I know about that. I duno if you've seen em but I have several threads about the ton of crap I've done with this transmission lol.
My question was can I replace just the slave or does the master have to be changed too? its a seperate thing from the Brake Master Cyl. And autozone sells em seperate and they're 40 bucks a piece. Can I just use my old Master?
