Blah blah blah...
Not sure if anyone remembers me on here
Figured I'd give a little up-to-date on my girl....
T61 is back out, turns out that 5/8" hose STILL isn't big enough to drain. Temporarily going with 3/4" clear vinyl hose (wonder how long that'll last?) to be sure I am draining good. That will be getting changed out to a stainless steel braided -12an line.
The turbo itself is sitting in my kitchen (I love my wife) as well as all the new bearings for the rear end. Heavy Duty Zexel Torsen will be the focal point of my new rear end build, as well as a set of LS1 rear disc brakes. It may be another 3 weeks before that is done
In the mean time, I'm still tuning (had to REBUILD my ALDL cable again) and am plotting for some 14psi action. The recirc BOV flange will be made tomorrow evening, and welded up on Monday, so that will be done.
I'm also going to do a nice test on my fuel pressure, under boost. I want to be sure that it is increasing with boost pressure.
Um... Still have to build my own brackets for the custom gargantuan FMIC (no worries Eric, yours is just fine
), as well as build my own lower control arm relocation brackets.
I've been very busy as of late, working on the last turbo kit that needs to go out, as well as nursing two torn discs
They are talking disc replacement surgery, and, as far as I'm concerned, at 22 - that is a big NO.
The plenum has been put on hold, until I finish Eric's turbo setup, and get this rear end done and in. I am TIRED of having no traction!! August 20th is still the next dyno day, so tuning is a must.
That's about it, on this side of the fence.

i have a friend who has slipped discs and ****, he just had replacement surgery at 18 . . . definitly be careful.
The epidural shoots hurt like hell and are no better then a placibo shoot (SP?) in cronic cases. I know from experiance, but if dealing with an HMO it is a required step before they will approve surgery. I'm currently recoverying from lower back surgery for 2 herniated discs. L4-L5, and L5-S1. So far I m happy with it. Hasn't gotten rid of all of the pain, but it is better then angony 24/7/365 for the past 3 and 1/2 years.
Keep this in mind the longer you wait to have the surgery done the less likely it will help, but all credable research papers state that it is the best option. HMO and most insurance compines do not have your best health options in mind. Only thing they worry about is how much it will cost them. Don't let them tell you that surgery doesn't work. They base thier findings off of Health insurance founded research. Most of the time the studdies are flawed and deviate from the scientific method in order to scew results.
Also reevualate why the there was damage to the disk. Most cases it is from not taking care of the back.

Ohhh now everyone in cyberspace thinks I'm the guy who's holding up the progress on HIS turbo setup, and forcing him to work with back pain....
You mean out of ALL these "I wanna turbo" wannabees I'm the only dude who put his money where his mouth was?

Dow, let me see a pic of your LCA brackets you make, as thats my next step.
I like BMR bolt ins, but for 130 bux
Also need someone to install my 3.42's, posi, and someone to tune my beast

Pictures of the rear end rebuild wont help. Dont think I have the proper tools for it. And I have pictures, helms, haynes, chiltons. Dont do me any good
And I know the brackets arnt made yet. Thats why I want pictures after they made, and before install. If they are anything like BMR, well be talking.

Sure it will... you don't need any really special tools, contrary to popular belief... it's a matter of getting good gear pattern
