old school clamps question

old school clamps question
I was wondering where can i find those old school clamps that originaly cam on the third gen lower and upper rad hoses. they are the ones that yo dont have to screw on. What are the called?

if you mean the style that you use a pliers to take on and off, youd be better w/ the style you use a screwdriver for, those lose their holding tension after a while and eventuallly leak.
I'm not gonna swear that at the time the 3rd Gen came down line that GM used tension spring clamps.
IF ya really want a secure answer go to Felix Chevrolet and ask the guys to pull up the illustrated parts pictures and see what appears......
Because in all honesty, I really doubt GM used those spring clamps. I've only seen those used on the fuel lines. FOR CARBURETED CARS, only.
GENERALLY GM clamps were tower clamps.
Especially on rad hoses & such.

I believe the third gens had the old school screw type clamps....the ones that used a thin wire clamp and a long skinny bolt. I know because all of my hoses were original till a couple months ago lol
O..BTW, those other style clamps come from Toyota as OEM equipment I believe...pain in the @$$ to get off if you don't have pliers though!
