I recently started working at pepboys part time. I was walking through an aisle and notice the B&M shift improver kit for the 700-r4 haning up on a hook. Only $30, How much could a shop charge to install this? It only seems like a few pieces of stuff...

 

I wouldnt waste your money on that thing, its a crappy version of a shift kit. If you really wanna see a difference get a trango shift kit. summit racing part #trg-700

 

I dont really want to spend $140, I can buy the B&M for $30 + 20 % employee discount and have it installed there also along with the discount for installation. How much would this installation normally run?

 

I heard the B&M can fry a tranny.

 

yeah it's all of differant springs......and instructions for where to drill........basicly all your doing is the valve body upgrade and no internals.......so after a few good launches the old worn clutches are gone......


so yeah $30 is a gooooood deal. at least get the FULL b&m kit.
