Slight Cam upgrade
I have a 2.8L 87 Camaro and I just installed a new cam in it. The cam is a Chevy 173-207 60° High Energy 240H Cam which I purchased from CompCams. Just wondering what kind of performance will I get out of this cam and if I should by the chip to go along with it. I don't want alot just want to add a little pep to the ride. Also thinking about adding a free flow exahust to go along with it. Just want some input to see if these are some good upgrades to help a V6 perform a little better.

For exhaust I would go with Pacesetters headers and glasspacks. You can't get anymore free flowing then that.
Quick question, did you have to remove your engine to put the cam in??

No I didn't have to remove the engine. When you get down to taking the timing chain cover off you have to take off the 2 front bolts to the oil pan thats it. As for the rest the stuff on the top is all self explanitory. What I did was took some sandwich bags as I took stuff off and placed the bolts and nuits in them. Thats a really good idea because you will have alot of them. I have gotten it back together now but it took me about 2 weeks doing the whole thing because I was taking my time making sure everything was done right ( after work and all). So it wasn't that bad of a deal just took a lil time. If you have any questions my email is wiggyb31@iwon.com
Good Luck!
