So

What is new with the 2.8.. It has been sometime since I have been here and would love to get one again.

Last time I was here 4th gen seats were a hot item
And someone was going to make headers

And TOM P was the king of advice...

TomP is still the man - he's got a tuneup named in his honor

Um....

Pacesetter has built the headers - we can get them through Summit. They come with a mandrel Y pipe, too.

We've got a couple of intakes now. Alan's got the best one so far (AM91_CamaroRS).

I'm turbocharged. We've got a couple others on the boards working on that, too

I'm trying to convince Alan that he wants to be supercharged

Dean still has the most rockin' daily driver I've ever seen!

uh...

4th gen seats are still hot

I still need to get off my rear and get the three little pinhole leaks TIG'ed on my intake and then give it a shot. I will work on this goal by the end of this year, I just have so many other priorities and have just finished with a major refacing of my home on the second story level (I do all my own projects entirely myself in my free time- no hired help, not helpers other than the occational assistance from my wife. So I am very busy always).

I actually bought a small DC TIG welded that I two days later found out that you can not TIG aluminum on a DC only current TIG, it needs to be AC current polarity. I returned the unit. I have plans sometime in the future to buy a large TIG machine so I can do chromemoly and aluminum myself (for the future Mini Cooper build after the house is finished in about 4 more years, I have been working on the house for about 8 years already in my free time and am on the downhill side of it). Anyways, I would like to really rebuild the intake I built into a slightly better fit now that I have a working model but only after I test this one to make sure it is worthy.

Thats my life in general right now and where priorities stand. For the mean time, the Camaro runs perfect as it is for being my wifes daily driver and it may be at least one more year before we buy another new car to replace this for her full time use the dealers are outragious for the Chysler300 SRT's right now, they are getting 10K over sticker here becuase of the car being "Car of the Year" I'll wait for that fad to die off or another car come around in my price range to my liking.

Don't forget PF & E also makes headers for the 60 degree motors, and they are very high quality. Wish they would make a new pass side header though to accomodate a turbo! If not, we'll be investing in some stainless mandrel bends here before too long to do our own (not for resale, this is a on-off project), after we redo the heads and install the 1.6 rockers.

BTW Tom P is still the man, for the tuneup, the dist rebuild, his info on the early style rear calipers, and MANY other subjects!

hmm any plans on making a new lower section too, i'd love to be able to get to the valve covers without having to pull everything, plus your intake looks damn good
