ya, its a scam. All it is is a resistor that you put inplace of your intake air temperature sensor, and it tricks the computer into thinking the air is colder, responding with more fuel. Dont do it. If you must try it yourself, the resistor needed should be about 50 cents at radio shack.

Yep....popular scam that's been around for a long time. What you found is one of the cheaper ones, and it's not encased or anything so you can see exactly what it is....some are in little plastic cases you clip in, or sleeved so you can't see the actual part just the terminals, etc. That's why theyre so "universal".....wonder how its supposed to work for over a decade worth of very different motors?
