My '86 Camaro has just a 2 speed wiper. An Delay or Imtermit Wiper would be great... Why I didn't think of this before... I know JC Whitney sell them... http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/S...&searchbtn.y=2. I could make one using a 555 timer chip. What do the forum members say...

Will a stock delay unit bolt (wiring harness) into 2 spd unit?

i am almost posative it will. why would gm spend the money to have two different connectors... does not make financial sense. but i do not know for sure. p.m. "trickster" that guy knows everything about thirdgen wireing. it's insane.

The wiper motors are the same regardless of whether the car has delay or not. The "wiper motor cover" differs between the two, and contains all the electronics for controlling the delay, washer spray and parking of the wipers. The controls are different as well. If you just use a delay cover on a non-delay car without changing the stalk, you'll end up with a washer pump that runs continuously.

Cool info, Apeiron! Thanks!

Altho personally, I have no delay either, and I love it- old school, and one less thing to break

i live in oregon. it rains for three months solid in the winter. i NEED extra wiper controls and i freking hate having it broken. i am going to abandon boneyard idea and just spend the 140$ to get a new delay and turnsignal switch. SOON too. in the next three weeks i am thinking.
