Maf

Does anybody know the tolerance of the maf?
I hooked my computer up to my port with the engine not runnin, and the maf showed a nonzero flow. Does that mean it is bad?

That doesn't mean that it's bad. The computer gives you a "calculated" number. That number corresponds to Barometric pressure. It's kind of wierd that they do that even without a tach signal, but whatever.

uhh... actually it should be giving a number in grams per second of air mass... nothing to do with atmospheric pressure

Don't know the absolute tolerances offhand though, sorry. Doward could pipe in with a good idea of the limits of the stock maf if he still has his research material laying around..
