strange problems, temp, volt, 02 rich

ok i just got a new exhaust Y, I, and axleback duals. new 02 as well. my rad is leaking a bit. im looking for a new one.

this is what is happening. ill be on the highway cruising and come to a stop on the off ramp. my temp starts climbing immediatly till the light comes on, and my volt starts dropping and my lights dim. i hit the gas, the lights get brighter and the volts rise, temp falls. then my car seems gutless not much power. (this happenes every night) i park in the driveway and my ses light comes on with code 45, O2 rich. (this is the first time this has happened) i can get a replacement for the O2 because its a week old. and ive had my alt and battery tested twice. i cleaned the contacts on the alt and the grounds. made sure the belt is tight and the alt pully spins freely.

1 why is my volt going down
2 why is my temp rising and my fan not coming on right away.
3 what could cause a rich condition or is the O2 faulty.

im going to clean the cap and rotor, im thinking when the temp rises there isnt enough spark due to dirty terminals.
im not running out of coolent i checked it when i got home.

see if the fan spins with almost no resistance cause my parents minivan was doin kinda the same thing and it was the fan motor mostly seized and when you would hit the gas it made enough Juice to force the fan to turn but when you let off it would slow down again and all the lights would dim. we unpluged the fan and everything in the car but it worked ok. dont know if that is your problem but i would check it.

well by the time i got home today i had to hold it almost to the floor to get it to go anywhere

so i think its 2 unrelated issues.

i think i saw an arc on one of the wires when i had the hood up, but i dont think one little arc would make my car almost undrivealbe. and it idles fine.
im going to do plugs caprotor and wires maybe tomorrow. damn i dont need this right now.

1. Could be because the alt gets hot, and doesnt deliver as much power as it normally does. as well as its at idle now, rather then driving rpm. Mine does this, doesnt sound as drastic though.

2. Engine is hot, engine bay is hot. While your driving your coolant is being circulated quite fast due to engine rpm. You slow down... you have less air moving over radiator, your wp isnt moving the coolant as fast. So engine gets hotter. Again, mine does this. I have electric fans on toggle switches and I turn them on soon as I'm driving down the exit ramp.

3. Would have to tinker with the car. Having same problem myself right now.

spun the fan by hand it spins freely.

it doesnt even rev by the throttle blade fast at all

i unplugged the maf and put in a different tps sensor but still no change

could it be a bad o2?

what would cause a rich condition
