Your V6 engines

Post pics and info about your V6's. I'll start with mine.

It's the 3.1L, ~153,000mi, Runs PERFECT (besides being slow). Only mods are a cold air intake(not really cold air)and TB bypass mod. Done some work such as valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, and new oil pan.

Also, please check out my new cardomain page and give me a good rating, let me know what you think...

Heck. Why not.

2.8 V5 (yes 5.. unless I try out those anti oil fouler things)
Universal accel 8mm wire set
MSD Blaster GM Coil (relocated to '88 for now)
700R4 -> T5 swap
Homemade weekend-built turbocharger manifold, downpipe, Xover pipe, and charged intake pipe
Toyota CT-26 Turbocharger (87-88 Supra)
Mitsubishi Starion intercooler
Bosch BOV
Faze 2 1/16" boost/vac gauge
Idiot light -> Gauge cluster swap
16" '86 IROC wheels (waiting for rubber)
'749/$58 SyTy electronics swap /w 2-bar MAP
K&N cone air filter (most recent addition.. was 'running' filterless.. MAF and BOV recirculation left no room for a filter.. both are gone now)
I'm sure something I've done to the poor thing is missing.. but that covers everything worth mentioning.. I think...

Coming soon:
3.4 (parts car on layaway) /w high volume oil pump
A muffler (turbo's too obvious without one)
Wideband O2
More chip tuning than I care to think about.

1992 RS with the 3.1L, 75,000 miles on the clock. I added the snorkle intake a few months ago, then tuned it up with some Accel wires, cap & rotor and Kool Blue air filters (along with the other normal tune up bits, of course). Then I just cleaned everything up real well.

I'm definatly not gonna be able to remember all the details:

High Flow Dynosomething cat
Flowmaster muffler
MSD Coil
CAI
K&N filter
Plugged up EGR
Hollowed out A.I.R
Vette Servo
ASP Underdrive crank pully
TB Coolant Bypass

Think that's it....

January I'm buying a 3.4l with 1300k miles, cams, lifters, valves and some other stuff included.... Also looking at getting a 3.3l v6 intake if it'll fit easy enough.

ahahahaha.. mine used to be a V5 too. The non-fouler plug worked great with mine so far. I put it in like a year ago and it hasn't fouled the plug again (used to do it every couple weeks at least just before I tried the non-fouler).

3.4 swap
T5
who knows how many miles... I've put like 80k on the car since I've had it.
Runs like ****. Valvetrain noise, burns oil worse than an LS1, etc.
Slow
I'm going to blow it up within the month Nitrous... no oil.. somehow.. it will blow up -and I will enjoy it.
3.8/T5 swap attempt soon enough.. hopefully it goes fairly smooth.

Actually yeah, that night I went and bought the non-fouler and a new plug and it seems to be doing better, all things considered. Timing map is still off, but without a knock sensor and datalogging capability, not much I can do about that *shrug* ah well.

Life's been busy and I haven't had a chance to post lately, or even read the forum for that matter. Even though I now own a 4th gen v8, I'm hoping to come back to see how some of the ideas are progressing for the v6's. Keep up the good work guys.

A car just recently taken off the road...

85 2.8l

K&N Air filter
Edelbrock tie rod sleeves
Edelbrock panhard bar
TDS wonderbar
KYB shocks and struts
Suspension Techniques springs
Nitrous

And I grenaded the transmission so all of that does nothing anymore. Engine is complete and still runs and entire suspension is still there, otherwise it's a parts car. Also have an 87 2.8l with an auto trans that's no longer pushing the car forward, engine ran last time it was started. Make an offer for the pair.

Here's the Franken60 (Version 1.0)

I started with a 1987 2.8 Block, put in a 3.1L crank, Federal Mogul FWD 3.1L pistons, used the 1987 2.8L rods. For the Valve train, I used a GMPP cam, that is equivlant to the Crane 260-2, stock 3.1 rockers, and stock 3100 Valves and springs.
The heads and intake were from a 1995 Buick Skylark. I had the UIM modified with a custom EGR mount to use the 2.8L FWD vacuum EGR. The heads and intake were stock port, with some mild port matching.
The headers were custom built by me, they are ok, but want to build some new headers once I get some time.
Well the custom headers dump into a T3 turbo pirated from a 1986 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe.
Engine managment was provided by 7730 ECM, that connects to the engine via a modified harness pirated from a 1988 Cavalier Z24. The PROM was mildly tuned for the forced induction, mostly a stock TGP program on a different PROM. The crank trigger was custom made by my Grandfather that is a machinist.
At the time of the above pic I was also using a Mitsubishi Starion front mount intercooler and Eagle Talon (Mitsu Eclipse) 1st gen BOV.
There was a bunch of small custom parts made for this.
Currently the top end has been removed and will be putting a 3400 top end that has larger ports and will also be using a larger turbo or twins.

Here are some more pics:
