Missing under heavy throttle
You know that feeling when you go around a corner with a near empty tank and the car misses from lack of fuel?
That is how my car is acting all the time lately under more than 1/2 throttle. It's a very intermittent miss. I just changed the fuel filter and no change. The plugs, cap, and rotor are all about 2 years old. The problem all of a sudden started in one day and has been getting slightly worse each day.
I guess pulling the plugs and looking at them could be the first check.

you might want to check your pickup coil. its under the distributor cap and fits around the shaft. mine was going out and i was having missing at high loads/open throttle, and then randomly it wouldnt start some times, and eventualy it didtn start at all until i replaced the part. its like $8 or something, the only problem is that you have to take out the distributor to get it off, which means resetting timing. if you have a light the whole thing takes like 10 minutes tops.
you may also want to check your coil and ignition module.

You answered your own question. do a full tune up man.
What makes you think stuff being two years old is ok?
You should do a full tune up every year.
Reguardless of miles or how the car runs.

I don't even wanna ask how often you change your oil.

I change my synthetic oil in my TTA every 1500 miles. In the 2.8 Firebird, it uses about a quart every 1000 so I change it about every 4000 only
I spend too much money keeping my TTA running (you wouldn't believe what parts cost for these cars). The Firebird only gets parts when it really needs it.

Cap and rotor fixxed it
and no you do not need to remove the full distrubitor to pull the pickup coil you just need to be flexible and own a screwdriver lol
