tach won't work

tach won't work

91 v6 and the tach won't work. when you turn the car on it jumps to the left and the pegs out and stays there. Any sugestions?

sounds liek the tach lead is grounded out. or u just have a bad gauge

is there any way to now for sure if the guage is bad without trying another one?

It's probably bad.

Mine doesn't work either. It's way off. At idle it shows 4000RPM, when you're on the gas it goes way past red lol.
