CTS Placement

Will it make any difference if the CTS and coldstart switches ar switched around? When i was wireing in my fan switch i was just looking over the engine and noticed that chiltons said the CTS was supposed to be on the upper and outer hole and the cold start was supposed to be in the lower inner hole. does this make any difference or are they both in the same stream of coolant?

THey both share the same coolant, so it doesn't matter where they are placed.
