Holly Commander 950

I was reading through some catalog and came across this add for the Holly Commander 950.. Apparently they have Universal kits for 4-bangers, 6's and 8's.. I was wondering if anyone has used one and knows if their boost friendly and apparently their MAP based so we wouldnt need our MAF's anymore... Any info is greatly appreciated...

The Commander 950 is a MAP based system so you will eliminate your MAF, and yes use a MAP sensor.

There's a few different options and parts, you can buy just the ECU or a complete kit that has harness and if you are running more than 6 injectors an injector driver box, etc.

UHG, have you even looked at what the Commander 950 is?

It's a stand alone ECM.

i'm leaning towards megasquirt for when i do my engine, its like the holley but its an open source DIY system, you just have to buy the boards(unless you have circuit board fabrications skills, lol).

it is a complete aftermarket ECM. it replaces your stock engine management computer allowing you to tune your engine in real time. you see some output (real time datalogging too) and make an adjustment and see yur results (and feel) instantly. i know "twilightoptics" on this board runs a holley commander. he has only had nice things to say about it.

how much are they?

Haha!! $1,102.99 for the V6 Universal kit.. but it includes everything... Im thinking its better than the 749' swap...?? Fully tune-able without having to swap chips.. Just link a laptop to it... Sounds good to me
