I've got crickets in my engine and it's not the belt
I've got a squeaking noise coming from the engine. It only happens when the engine is warm. The belt was replaced a year ago and shows no signs of slipping. The tensioner is a month old. The noise seems to be coming from the passenger side, which would be alternator, tensioner, or smog pump. I listened to all of the accessories with a screwdriver, and they all sound normal. Any ideas? Thanks

remove the serpertine belt, start the engine, and see if the noise disappears.if it does,it is in the accessory drive or the belt

It's got a VSS, not a cable. I'm pretty sure it's an accessory, but I haven't pulled the belt yet to confirm it. It sure would be easier to have a vee belt set up so I could pull them one at a time, but I guess I've got to work with what I've got. Thanks for these and any future responses.
