FWD head ?'s
I got the heads/intake/pistons/rails out of a FWD 3.1... I wanna find a 3.4 block and crank with coil packs, if you know of any your help is appreciated..
Could I use the 3.4 crank/2.8 rods/3.1 FWD pistons? Also Could I use the cam out of my stock 2.8, its a dizzy motor and the 3.4 isnt gonna have one so would the cams be differant? I also have crank bearings for the 3.1.. Would those work with the 3.4 crank? Sorry about all the questions but I need the car back on the road... Been driving a Ford
Thanks in advance

1)All 660s rods (except 3500/3900), 5.7 long, with a 2.0" big end and .9something small end.
b)3.1 and 3.4 cranks are the same casting.
iii)3.1 pistons will not work in a 3.4 block, due to bore size. The 3.1 has an 89mm bore where as the 3.4 has a 92mm bore.
four)Cam is the same, there is still an oil pump drive on the DIS engines.
Cinco)See b) for info about crank bearings.
All of this stuff could be determined by looking at the specs for each engine. 60DegreeV6.com :: Home has all that info.

Could I jst remove the whole distributor and put the FWD manifold on then use the coil packs?

You need to use teh oil pump drive, unless you like replacing beraings and internals, every other time you drive it, maybe everytime you drive it.
I believe all of these questions have been covered several times.

Is there any way that I could decrease the bore on the 3.4 block so I can use the 3.1 pistons, like sleeves or something?

Simple answer, no.
besides pistons are cheap.
I might have a set (3400), if you're interested.
