Car dead--code 33
So I was driving home from work and my rpms died than kicked back on 1-2 seconds later, and like 20 seconds later it just died. Luckily I was on a downward hill so I could pull off. To make a long story short I got towed home and I am getting a code 33. I know that it is for my MAP sensor. I was just wondering if there is anything else I should check/change that would cause this code. Any advice/help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Yes, check if there is spark at one of the spark plugs. Sounds like the ignition module, coil, or pickup coil died. Most likely the code 33 was caused by the engine stalling. Can't hurt to check the vacuum line to the MAP sensor along with the wires to it.

When I was on the side of the road, I had thought it might be a problem with the plugs or wires. Checked the spark plugs and there is no spark. So step one new coil, wires, and plugs. Hopefully that fixes it and there wont be a step two. Thanks again
