Help!

I replace my Idle Air Control Motor and drove the car to reset everything and I am still having idling problems. I believe its something to do with vaccum. All my lines are hooked up correctly except for the one I removed when I took off the smog pump. I took off the line and made one line from my fuel pressure regultar to my throttle body. My car is throwing a code and I took it to the auto store today and their computer wouldn't talk with my computer. So now I am clueless. Anybody have any suggestions??

btw the car idles fine until it warms up and goes into open loop but once its in open loop the idle does not want to go below 2,000 and when it does it has a alot of trouble idling

well im gonna take a shot...with all the mods you have im asumming you know for sure you tps sensor is ok,.,.im kinda confused tho you said the auto store 's comp cant talk to you comp in the car?? are you actually taking in the cars comp? or some kind of sensor?ive heard a way to check for air leaks is to spray som carb spray around all the hoses ,.and see if any idel changes then what its doing now,.,.

thats weird that your auto shop
couldn't figure out if there's a code present..

are you talking about the Idle Air Control valve?
because I think bad IAC valve can cause bad idle,
but i dont think it gives out service lights on since
its not a sensor..

I know autozone doesnt even deal with OBDI cars. They just turn you away. You can read the codes yourself with a paperclip.
Q: How can I display the error codes from a Service Engine Light?
A: If your car does not have the 12 pin DLC connector, you may not be able to manually "flash" your trouble codes. The language "may be possible" appears to suggest that this method should work with most, if not all, 12 pin DLC equipped cars.

DISPLAYING THE TROUBLE CODES
Run a wire/hairpin from Pin 6 to Pin 12 with the ignition off (although on later cars it should be from Pin 5 to Pin 6), then turning the ignition to the on position without starting the engine will flash the "Service Engine Soon" light in the following sequence: flash, pause, flash-flash, long pause flash, pause, flash-flash, long pause flash, pause, flash-flash, long pause Following this "12" code repeating three times will come any trouble codes stored, flashing each of them three times. If you do not see the "12" flash three times, your diagnostic circuit is defective. Some vehicles will display stored trouble codes, then "12" again, followed by energizing "most system controlled relays." The fuel pump relay will not energize. The idle air control valve will fully extend to enable checking minimum idle speed.
CLEARING THE TROUBLE CODES
Turn the keyswitch to the off position. To clear any trouble codes, disconnect the power feed for 30 seconds. If this is done at the battery, and your car stereo is equipped and programmed with a four digit pin code, you may have to re-enter that as well to use your stereo again. A better place to remove power is at the fuse.

i can get code 12 to come up with a paper clip but how can I transalate the flashes into codes?? I am getting a code with 3 quick flashes. Also my radiator fans kicks on when I stick the paper clip in. Is that normal??

It will flash the number of the first digit of the code, pause, then flash the second digit. Also, it is normal for the fan to come on.

did you adjust the iac valve by wiggling the pintle and changing the lenghth that it sticks out? you may want to try that. theres also a torx screw behind the place where the spring on the tb is, this screw sticks out pointing towards the front of the car and acts as a bump stop where the... throttle plate rests and you can adjust the idle that way too.
