Oil pump?
My oil pump went awhile back, and my bird has been sitting in the driveway ever since. How big of a job is to replace it? i've put it off because I don't know if the car is dead. It's defiantly the oil pump, but I wouldn't really know if the engine is ok until I fix the oil pump, and for a $800 car, it's not worth taking it to get it repaired.
But yeah, is it super difficult to replace, or a fairly painless job?

Its a decent job, had to do it a few months ago. Its not very expensive, just a days worth of labor at a decent rate.
OO, few cuss words too.

Just make sure its your pump before you put things back together.
I change an oil pump for the 3rd time for a guy on a furd and it only lasted about 3 weeks like the first two.
sometimes its your rod or mains that get wiped and oil can't flow with all them leaks.

I did it with myself and my father a few months ago, Not that difficult, Just time consumeing... Its preaty much get everything thats gonna be crushed by the engine when you lift it (i did'nt remove the engine to do this) Ie: cap, aircleaner ect ect, I removed the AIR system too, along with my wiper motor just so i was on the safe side.
Just unbolt the motor mounts, The Tourqe coverter housing, and lift up the engine(i recromend a engine hoist for this, Much safer then a jack) And then unblot the oil pan, the oil pump, make sure no gasget is left on the block or the pan mating surfaces, replace the oilpump (put the old pick up on the new pump) And rebolt everything.. and then fire her up.
