NOS on 3.1
I figured that
v6, especially thirdgen v6 has no aftermarket parts
whatsoever to increase speed..
I mean they do, but not that much comparing to v8s,
but I like the gas-mileage on v6 and just want a mild-performance to be faster than some adequate newer cars.
so Im thinking of getting a NOS in the future,
from following link:
Hawks Third Gen Parts-82-02 Camaro and Firebird Parts - NOS 1985-88 2.8L V6, plate design, 100-150 HP adjustable, EFI nitrous oxide system "Dry
now the description says 2.8-3.4L, so can I assume that 3.1L is in their range of compatibility?
it also says 1985-88.. but I got a 91 3.1L...
if anyone know, what needs to be replaced from stock
if Im putting a NOS, will my stock 700R4 transmission handle the pwoer and stuff?
Im such a noob on these.. any advise is appreciated!!
PS. I did look at the power adder section but they seem to apply to v8s cars mostly.. so I wanted to ask it here.
----------
oh and how hard is it to install?
I will probably leave it to a shop,
how much of a labor(or how many hrs)
of charge should I expect?
thanks alot!

as far as gas mileage goes on a v6, you can do a lot of stuff to them and still get good gas mileage. im getting a ball park number here, but about 25mpg average with all the stuff i have done to mine, and its running rich too. food for thought before you go bottle fed.

If your getting n2o, I would get a wet kit if i was you. Also look at summit. The prices are cheaper and they have a better selection. Any kit for a fuel injected car should work.
