urgent help needed

ok heres the deal the car died on me last night rough idling stalling etc.
so i pulled the codes today
got one for high vac at maf
and 02 rich
so i rpelace the maf ,no difference
so then i check the usuall stuff everythings good
herees were it gets wierd
i dont trust my af/quage cause it isnt reading anything
so i break out the volt metter and test the o2 that way
it has 1.50 volts,as far as i know an o2 should only read .2 to .9-1volt
so i swaped the o2 out for a new one and now its reading 1.20 and .99 if i rev it up,the thing that gets me is lower voltage is supposed to be lean and higher voltage is supposed to be rich
well ym gauge with the new o2 is reading dead lean and not rich
does anyone here know exactly what the o2 is supposed to read voltage wise say with key on engine off and at idle

nm guys i got it.my gauge had internally shorted and was putting out 1.2volts worth of power to the ecm causing it to think that the motor was running dead rich once i unhooked the gauge the car ran right
