Tune Up Time + Smog Test
I just bought a V6 with aluminum heads, and I need to give it a tune up before I go in for my smog test.
I'm just curious what the best choice for plugs would be for the 3.1 with alum heads?
I'll be putting in all the usual tune up stuff as well... O2 sensor, plug wires, filter, etc.
Thanks in advance for the help

pistons etc for 2.8 3.1s but i lost the link.. let me know thankyou!

I have a 3.1 FWD. Right now it's in a 90 corsica, but I'm leaning heavily toward rebuilding it for my 85 iroc.
Turbo... Of Course
I like how much airspace there is around the 60deg v6.

aw, its for FWD then..
i dont think there's alum head for RWD 3.1 is there..?
in the future i was hoping for upgrading pistons, crankshaft and heads etc.. but cant seem to find direct replacement.

Is gen3 design the DOHC 4 valve/cyl?
The more I read, the more the Buick V6 makes sense, if a guy were to be doing a complete rebuild.

Could you clarify that for me please?
Also, are the FWD tranny mounts different than the RWD?
And if they are would that mean that the FWD 3.1 could not be mated to the thirdgen 700R4?
Thanks

yes the gen3 is pushrod. The valves in the heads are larger, plus roller fulcrum rockers... and I think I heard a roller cam too or something.
