My headers crossover pipe doesn't fit

The crossover pipe isn't working. Everything else looks right, except that one short section of pipe. It isn't bent enough. I guess I'll get on the phone with summit, pacesetter, or maybe I'll have an exhaust place make one.

On top of that, the bolts I bought won't fit against the surface either because of the welds, I have to go back and get allen head bolts.

When I orginally contacted pacesetter about my oil filter problem, they offered to swap the headers out. However, the deal was they send me a new set, I send back my old set.

I never recived my new set.

Try contacting them and see what they do. Odds are they will swap it for you.

I had same problem with the welds, but my headers came with bolts. Others havent been so lucky it sounds

Yeah, I was one of the unlucky ones. I'll try calling tomorrow. My dad is an uber welder and says he can modify it to work, but it's hard to do when we don't know where the oilpan is in relation to the tube. If I go that route I'll have to wait until I get the 2.8 out and stripped of parts.

Called summit and they said it's a warranty issue. they're sending a UPS truck out to pick up my current set and are sending me a new set. He also told me to call if there's no nuts and bolts and they'll send those too.

My catback looked like that too, If you have an aftermarket catback the rear pipe end needs to be trimmed. If you look at the "L" in the rear where it connects to the pipe for the muffler you will notice a crazy ground clearance issue. If you cut the rear of the pipe it should mate the flange perfectly. Its kinda crappy but I have a feeling you will just get the same thing over again.... good luck though
You'll get it worked out
