Speedo reset?

Speedo reset?

My friend has a V6 89'firebird and he was swapping the dash housing and had the face plate off while swapping the dash bulbs and he accidently bumped the speedo needle back some,he tried to drive with the needle in the odd position and now it seems to be off some,is there a way to reset the speedo???....thanks in advance!

i think there's a precise little spring in the back that holds
the needle in place,
that if by any chance u push the needle too far in
it damages the spring and it will not move anymore.

so just becareful not to push it in too deep..
as i did that and i had to buy a new cluster
