V6 HP numbers???

Not sure if this has been covered b4 (hope it hasn't) but does anybody know what the highest acheivable HP is for the 2.8/3.1 motors with all the common mods performed? (intake,exhaust, computer tuning. etc)... Also, after a custom turbo, wats the most HP attainable safely with the stock internals? (Maybe the TURBO guys will know this one?)

on a bone stock 3.1 300 hp would be reachable with a turbo,though on that same engine if u were to port the heads/intake u could take that over 350hp

Thanx... Im still a lil concerned about going tha turbo route with my 3.1 V6. I'd rather not do the swap but its condition is a bit shady to me. Im the 4th owner and the engine does not look like it hs been taken care of at all... Changed the air filte rthe other day and OH BOY... Probably the original one from 91'. Since I've had the car, the engine has new cylinder heads, new throttle body, intake manifold, lifters and a cam. Have u had any reliability problems driving after put on ur turbo?

i dont advise a turbo unless the engine is in good condition,only problemn i had was burning up oxegen sensors,which i have rectified by swaping to a 3 wire heated 02 sensor.other then that ive had stupid lil problems,but nothing that would have stoped me from driving the car.
how many miles on the motor,whats the oil preasur eliek cold and hot,does the car smoke etc?

car has just reached 206,000 kms... oil pressure is normal and no smoke watsoever... By the way did u ever dyno ur car after ur setup?

so thats what like 160,000 miles?,yeah my car dynoed 412/467 hp/tq (3.1) on high boost.that was with non stock heads/intake though,on a fresh motor
edit may have done better with a lower gear,that was dynoed with the 4:10's in the rear,im assuming i would have picked up some hp/tq with a lower gear ratio

holy crap that's more then I'd expected. lol. which bottom end you runnin? what about cam? I bet a custom grind match to some of the higher end grand national cams would boost it even more. wow, imagine that thing up around 500?
