just put hawks white face gauge kit on my 88 camaro sc today, turned out ok, it was my first time, i broke off a little piece of the base of the rpm needle, its ok but it is noticeable in the pics. overall im happy. i had to cut the shifter plate overlay though because it was too big.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I think they look really out of place in that interior. The gauges are OK, but the HVAC controls and gear indicator are just too much.
If you paint the needles a bright color, it would lend to a more 'racey' look.
In my opinion, I think the gauges need some grey or silver surrounds(like the color of your radio trim ring. A tad darker maybe.) White on black is too contrasting and not really a good design practice.
It's your car, and you should do what YOU like, but that is my thoughts.
Hmm...maybe a light silver gauge, black numbers, and an orange needle. I think that might look better. Wouldn't need the surrounds, either. However, I wouldn't even mess with the stock console or HVAC.

I think it all looks good, I'd be looking for a white deck to replace the silver one if I was you, that would look sharp as hell.

i am a fan of the "all factory excellence" of GMs original equipment, and would not put white faced guages in my car, that being said...
i think it is tastefull. everytime i hear "whitefaced guages" i cringe just a little, but you have done a nice job. they stand out but do not appear out of place. good job, keep up the good work.

they look really sweet and bright at night, i love em, especially with the stock clear lights in the gauges, and the back of the gauge trim piece painted blue, it gives it this crystal, arctic blue kind of tint. Thread
