No spark, no power going into module/ pickup coil

Car died yesterday and I had to have it towed to a shop. It seemed like the fuel pump, because I couldn't here it sometimes when I turned the key on, or it was really quiet, but when it died it shut off instantly. no sputtering.

The shop put a tester thing on the relay while turning the key on and also cranking it. There was little pressure. I went ahead and had them do the fuel pump, but there's also no spark.

I told them the last time I had a problem like this the pickup coil had gone bad, but they had already looked at that and found there was no power going into the coil or module at all.

If it ends up being something that's going to cost crazy money, I'll have it towed to my dad's place since my insurance covers towing at least, and work on it myself.

Anyway, anyone have a clue or guess about it?

The coil power comes directly off the ignition switch, no fuse, so that's the place that I would check. Remember, the actaul switch part isn't behind the wheel, It's further down the column behind the dash.

Well, I'll let them know. It does crank however, so I'll look at a wiring diagram and see if maybe part of the switch might be bad or something.

Are you sure its not the ignition module? Sounds like what happened to me and all it was, for me, was the ICM. Could be something else, but I thought Id throw that in there.

they've already tried a different module.
