Just a few 3.4 questions
Ok, on the 3.4 passenger side, there is a bracket that the 3.4 accessories bolt up to that is held down in place by a cylinder head bolt. I think it was the alternator bracket?
1. My question is this. Can I just remove that one cylinder head bolt, remove the bracket, and then put the cylinder head bolt back in place (actually, it's a long cylinder head bolt so I was just going to replace it with a shorter cylinder head bolt off my 2.8) torque it down and have everythng be ok?
2. One more question...what do you remove to remove the plug on the passenger side head for the temp sensor? I see that a regular 3/8 ratchet is to big to fit in that thing.
3. Most important question....what color should I paint this thing??? lol

to answer Q1. that bracket should be held on by a nut on top of the head stud, it shouldnt be under the bolt itself. thats not a good design idea, lol. look at it and there should be a nut, the bracket, then the head of the stud under the bracket. get a wrench on the bottom, and hold it while you take the nut on top of the bracket off.
Q2. most people have a great time trying to get that out w/o heat. youre gonna have to pry w/ something big to get it out. a torch or anything to heat up around it is preferred though.
Q3. (personal opinion here) if the rest of the engine bay isnt for show, i wouldnt bother painting the engine, just looks funny to me.
