Sound like a good deal?
I want to thank the guys who gave me advice on installing a CTS. Not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Still got a vac leak somewhere, but thats another story. ANYWAY...I was talking to a guy at work who used to on a Z28 and wrecked it. He said he was parting it out and said he'd sell me the tranny(700R4) for $100. I thought it was a good deal and I could rebuild it so when the day came mine went out...I got a backup. Sound good?

Well, when I did my CTS a couple days ago, I stripped the manifold BAD getting the old one out. I ended up removing the intake and tapping the manifold hole, and also broke about all of the vac. lines around that area...rebuilt the vacuum lines with flexible hose instead of that brittle plastic junk...
Anyway...
A 700R4 for a V8 WILL NOT work in a V6 car. The bellhousing has a different pattern of bolts, and you can't switch the bellhousing either...

The 700r4's come in two configurations in rwd cars, 90degree and 60degree.
