New injectors and still losing presure.

Losing hope too.

I'm losing pressure faster than I was before. I can't find a leak anywhere. Pinched off the fuel lines and it made no difference.

I primed it a few times and used the bleeder on the guage to drain the air from the system. I'm trying a different gauge too if I can find one, but I doubt that's the problem. While replacing the injectors, I was doubting it was going to hold pressure, because that's just the way things have been going lately with this car. And I was right.

Tomorrow I'll pull the fuel rail up and watch the new injectors to see if they're leaking too.

I'm borrowing my dad's truck tomorrow, picking up a new coolant temp sender after work, and installing that just in case.

The o2 is new again. I don't want to foul this one up like the others by driving around running rich again. The one I pulled out today was black. The spark plugs weren't too bad though.

I'm really starting to get burnt out about this.

If I'm correct you did replace your fuel pump right? If so is it sealed correctly? I have seen this issue b4 on a van where the pump was replaced but the gasket wasn't sealing correctly. Just a lil fyi if you run oput of things to check that seems to be all that could be left.

Yea, pull the vacuum line off the FPR and make sure there is no gas there.

New as in brand new injectors? Or new as in "new" used injectors? If you got the second, maybe you got some faulty ones?

I agree too, about the fuel pressure regulator. I tried to find your original messages, and I think you said you primed the pump and pinched both feed and return lines shut- and the pressure still dropped? That's the GM book's "test" for a bad fuel pressure regulator.

If you don't have the tamper-proof torx bit to remove the pressure regulator cap, a hammer and flat punch will smash the raised pins down so you can get a regular torx bit on the screws.

If you were leaking that much fuel down your injectors, your oil would probably reek of gas by now... in which case you'd have to change that oil FAST before the gas ruined your bearings!

Pressure regulator isn't that old. There was no gas coming out of the lines going to it.

The injectors are brand new from summit.

I've pinched off the fuel lines and it made no difference. It goes to 40 when priming and stays at 30 while the engine was running.

I'm going to pull the rail again tonight with the injectors in it and look for leaks.

Well, the injectors aren't leaking, the FPR isn't leaking, cold start injector isn't leaking, fuel lines aren't leaking.

I guess I"m not crimping the lines tight enough and it's leaking back into the tank, or there's a tiny wormhole in my fuel system and my gas is going into space.

Someone said on 60degreev6.com that unsteady fuel pressure can cause it to run bad.

I'm losing pressure quickly through the return line, which would make the fuel pump work harder I guess.

anyway, I gots to get off this computer and go try out the other pressure regulator.

OH yeah, the new injectors are 17lb 3.4 stock replacements.
