My oil pressure gauge all of the sudden is showing incredibly high pressure...

Ok, so about 2 weeks ago or so I noticed my oil pressure gauge was way past the 60 mark (I swapped to a 145 cluster about 4 months ago so it shows 60 instead of 80 as the highest mark). I checked the oil and it was half-way in the safe area so I figured it might just be from the cold weather we started having. It would stop doing it every now and then and act normal but it'd still go back to being way past. It is 70* out today and it's still doing it. I checked the oil with the car running and it was really far up the dipstick and when I got home I checked it again after I turned the car off and it was back down in the safe area (but lower than usual since the oil in the cylinders hadn't settled back down yet). What is causing this? Is it something I need to be worried about?

Sounds like that'll be fun to replace. Course all day today the damn thing was showing what it usually shows.

Ive been told its pretty easy. Unscrew the old one, put in new one. Its right above the oil filter. Ive been meaning to change mine for a while, but I havent gotten around to it.
